Need to know what is available accessory for it like night sights, and a lefty holster. Anyone know a site for such items? Also, I may decide to stick a lite on it, which one fits the tiny pic rail?

Anybody here found a set of trijicons or Meprolights for one? Anyone else make tritium sights for it?
Before you get too into shooting the PT145, what edition is it? The millenium pro has been discontinued by Taurus...and for good reason.
Make sure to read the manual and fire it according to it. Also, make 100% sure you save ALL of the casings for the first 150 rounds through it. Taurus has received reports (and disregarded many of them) about the PT145 shooting low and left at just 7 yards.
Here's an example of the problem I had:
Shot 7 inches low and 2 inches left at 7 yards...with 3 different shooters all maintaining tight groups. Casings were being ejected oval shaped. That's right, the casings were ovaling in the chamber upon discharge...enough it was easily seen with the naked eye.
There's a lot of scuttle-butt about issues with the Millenium Pro line. A lot of hit-and-miss traffic, some owners simply refused to fight with Taurus to get a refund...others actually had to get lawyers invovled to get theirs. Mine took 17 weeks and a lawyer.
That said, the PT145's I've shot and the 9mm version that did not have issues were excellent shooters. They chewed up pretty much anything you fed them, except the really cheap Blazer ammo. If mine had been a quality shooter, I would have kept it...though the sights aren't my thing (pumpkin on a post).

I don't know about after-market sites. I like the "8s". For a lefty holster that holds the gun real nice, try this guy:

ETA: The MilPro has been changed twice. They're on the 3rd generation. Maybe that's what he meant.
I have a galco 2A IWB holster that works perfectly now (very tight at first). Can't recall the number but it was sized for a glock.
There are no night sights specifically for the latest (dovetailed) pt145s. Some 1911 sights share similar dovetails.
Low and left is common. I suspect they are putting 24/7 sights on by accident. Mine had that problem. I haven't seen anything amis with my brass and I reload.

I just screwed these on my 2nd generation DAO PT145...added a bit of lock-tite too. Not night sites but work awesome!

Ed Ames, think it was my version of the MilPro that was discontinued. When Taurus settled up with me they informed me that they were disco-ing the line my particular PT145 was in...revamped the line completely to correct some well documented issues as well as make some new options available.
IMHO, the new line of the MilPro's are better built and don't appear to be having accuracy issues...at least they aren't documented if they are.
DawgFvr, are those fiber-ops? They look nice. What's the minimal light tolerance/acceptance for them to work?

Part of that is 6 o'clock hold. Part is familiarity with the straight eight sights. Part is that, as far as I can tell, the front sight is just too tall. Brass is fine (I reload so I checked). The gun has fed everything and fired every time.

The issue with the older gens wasn't the 6 o'clock hold. I had to aim at a head to get a center mass shot that was still to the left. My Baby Eagle is a 6 o'clock shooter and I have yet to see the nature of the problem I had with my PT145 in the BE II.
That said, I'm glad Taurus recognized the mass problem and actually did something about it. Loved how mine felt in the hand and loved the groupings.
BTW, take note of something in their instructions. They should state: make sure your finger is off the trigger when engaging the safety as the safety may not engage. (I know, what person would do this....a child might if they got a hold of it)

head to COM is about right. The new guns are windage adjustable so left/right can be fixed easily. the front sight is still significantly too tall.
