    CZ 527 magazine Question?

I have been thinking about getting a CZ 527 in 7.62x39. After doing many searches for reviews I notice most seem to love them with one exception...magazine issues. Was wondering if this is a problem CZ has addressed or have recent guns still having problems with feeding issues? Don't really want...

    Savage Scout 7.62x39 info needed

The gun is from an estate sale and appears unfired. Yours is the first info I have seen about how the Savage handles steel cases. Sounds good! have you had any difficulty finding magazines?

    Savage Scout 7.62x39 info needed

That is interesting ATCDoktor. What I have read was the cz was designed to shoot the steel case stuff. Like you, I have a ton of the stuff and thought having a bolt action to shoot some would be fun. Nice to hear the Savage handles it well.

    Savage Scout 7.62x39 info needed

I have a chance to get a Savage scout in 7.62x39 at a very good price. I have a very large stock pile of steel case ammo and thought it would be nice to have a bolt action besides my semi auto guns to shoot it. Does anyone have any experience shooting steel case ammo in a Savage 7.62x39? I...

Winchester Mod. 37: How to remove forearm?

Thanks John! Worked just like you said. After I got it off I thought I was going to have to ask for more advise. When I attempted to put the fore end back on, no luck. On inspection I found that the plunger retaining pin was gone so the plunger stuck out too far. After looking and looking for...

Winchester Mod. 37: How to remove forearm?

I've done a couple searches and come up with different answers. Some say just pull it off. So far that doesn't work. I'm afraid I'll break something. Others say remove screw from the bottom. But I've also been told if I do that a lot of small parts that are difficult to get back together will...

    Savage Mod. 550 SXS Help!

oneounceload, thanks for responding! The lever being to the right is a good thing? How so? If thinking of a clock face, it sits about half way between 4 and 5 when the action is closed. I know I really am showing my ignorance now. amvet

    Savage Mod. 550 SXS Help!

A local shop has a sxs Savage Mod. 550 and is asking $375 for the gun. It looks almost new with little evidence of ever being fired. They only things that worried me are it is very stiff to open and the lever to break the gun open sits fairly far to the right. It is stiff and you can see where...

Webley & Son Mark III 38

The Sherlock Holmes angle is what attracted me to the gun. I know nothing about Webleys. To me a revolver is a S&W or Colt. But this just looked cool! No one at the shop I got it at knew anything about it. Some of the research indicates the proof marks are younger then the gun. I sure would like...

Webley & Son Mark III 38

I have a Webley revolver that I would like to get some information about if possible. It is on a small frame, at least smaller then I am use to seeing on the 45 caliber guns. The barrel is 3" in length. The sights are fixed with the rear being on the lever. The gun holds 6 rounds. The grip...

    Merwin & Hulbert Operation

I am thinking about buying a M&H double action revolver from a fellow via the internet. He described the loading process as follows. The empty cases are empty thru the unique Merwin system which I understand. After the frame and barrel are resecured the loading gate is opened and the hammer...

USFA China Camp, What kind of finish does it have?

I am looking at a previously owned but unfired USFA China Camp SAA. Seems like a nice gun but it appears to be finished in the white (no finish). The owner says it has something called Silver Steel Competion Finish. Anyone know what that is? Will it give the gun any protection from rust? Thanks...

    LMT B.U.I.S.

When using an LMT B.U.I.S. are you limited to using an Aimpoint? The only time I see an LMT used it seems to be with the Aimpoint and several dealers that list the LMT only mention the Aimpoint. Is anyone using some other sight (EOtech, etc,) with the LMT? I have no experience with mounting...

Question about sending handgun to Cal.

I put a gun up for sale on one of the boards and a dealer with an ffl in California wants to buy it. He says ffl holders are exempt from the "approved list". Is this true? I am not sure what kind of trouble I might get in but whatever it is, I don't need it. Thanks...
