I bought a 10/22 a while ago and I do not like the stock--it seems short, The sights are way too small for me to use. I was thinking about a new stock, and wondered if anybody replaced their stock and was very happy/satisfied with it?
Thanks

I've shot a few modified 10/22s, and you really get what you pay for stockwise. Your best option would be to try to find a store that sells a few different stocks for them ( I think Dick's in my area carries a few ). On a side note, what do you mean the sights are to small? They are probably the best stock iron sights on a gun in this price range for me.

Yup, same thing for me. Stock too short, and I didn't like the sights. First, I started off with the big laminate stock and scope that everyone usually puts on a 10/22 (pictured below)

I wasn't happy, because all it was good for was bench shooting. So I decided to put the EABCO M1 stock on it, along with some Techsights. It did wonders for the feel and sight radius. I might add that this is near identical to the Liberty Training Rifle they use at Appleseed shoots. I wish I had gone this route in the first place. :)

You can add LOP with a extra thick recoil pad. Even the aftermarket stocks run on the short side. I added a inch to this Fajen I did a few years back.

The international model is a bit more LOP than the carbine stock. Williams sells a peep sight that attaches at the rear scope mount holes in the receiver, very slick and very functional.

Whatever stock you choose you have to be aware of the way the barrel connects to the receiver. The M-1 and the International both help support that barrel. If you put a heavy aftermarket barrel on your 10/22 and you leave out the barrel support you really have limited the functional use of the rifle because it is easy to distort the aluminum receiver.

I also went with the EABCO M1 carbine tribute, but it makes your LOP a bit shorter, not longer.
The Tech-Sights are a sure winner though, make sure to pick up a sight adjusting tool to go with them, you probably only need the basic rear sight model, if budget is an issue.

I really like that M1 stock, and the first time I ever saw it!
On a side note, what do you mean the sights are to small?
I mean that it is hard for me to focus on sites, maybe I should have said they are far from my point of focus. like that peep sight!

Here is my Keep It Simple Stupid set-up. 16.5" barrel of a CRR model, and a Millett SP1 red dot, NOS- Ramline Synthetic stock off of Ebay. Winter Camo.

That underfolder is kinda cool. I'm surprised no one has made an AK replica considering the controls on the outside are similar.
