im still wondering why it cost more than the carbine but if i find one tomorrow its mine. anyone know if OAL would be okay with a butler creek folder?

The compact (is that what they call the youth rifle now?) barrel is 16" as opposed to 18" for the standard carbine. The only difference when swapping it into a different stock is the 2" difference in bbl length.

I bought a Ruger 10/22 CRR -compact- for my son. I liked the shorter barrel so much I found one a guy had taken of his new rifle and I put it on my 10/22. Easy to swap barrels.
It fit right into my Ramline Winter Camo stock I found on fleabay.
