I bought a 200 round box of Hornady "cowboy" bullets about a month ago. The box has a photo of the original founder of the company and the magic buzzword "cowboy" on it, but no indication of what the bullet actually looks like.
Well, turns out it's the same one that's walking out of the OP's loaded ammo.
The bullets are slick, the lube must be something similar to Lee's liquid alox. Apparently, the crosshatching rolled into the side of the projos isn't enough to prevent them moving forward in the case...so I made a dummy pattern round with a vicious roll crimp, trying to force the case to dig into the grooveless body of the bullet. Don't know if this worked or not. I'll have results soon.
A few with this heavy crimp, a few with no crimp at all and we'll see how she goes.
One thing is certain, I'm not putting any of these damn things in the magazine tube of the Miroku 1873. Had to open it once already.

Yeah I'm not impressed with them either..the bullet moves around like crazy

If you are not a reloader you can buy a 45 Colt Lee Classic Loader for 36.00 https://www.amazon.com/LEE-PRECISIO...8675&sprefix=45colt+lee+loader,aps,253&sr=8-1 I have been buying cast bullets from Bear Creek supply for a long time I have been using the 205gr 45 Colt bullets. He has a shed out in the country where he swags bullets a 1/2 hour from where I live. Last month I bought 500 38 158gr SWC for 29.00 cash and carry. They are moly coated so no need for lube as long as you don't push them hard you will get no leading.https://www.bearcreeksupplybullets.com/bulletselection I have been using Hodgdon Trail Boss powder once you work up a load you can make a dipper out of a cartage case. Trail Boss is very bulky the only rules are you can't compress it and you need to use cast bullets in handgun cases.https://www.hodgdon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/trail-boss-reduced-loads-2018.pdf There are a lot of videos on youtube and Lee's web site to get you started. Besides a Lee Loader, you need calipers and a scale a cheap electronic powder scale will do.
