1858 Rollin White cylinder conversion.

I am looking for a reproduction of the Rollin White cylinder conversion for the Remington 1858. It is the exact same thing Preacher used in Pale Rider.

With this cylinder and a modified hammer you could shoot metallic rounds.

The closest "drop in" conversion is the Kirst. See it here:

If you want an actual type 1 or type two (w/ejector) than I can guide you to a smith that does them.

Thanks, I know about R&D, Kris Converters and Taylor but I wanted the same set up at the Rollin White.

Anyone know where to get the blueprints of the Rollin White and what steel is needed to manufacture such a cylinder?

I just really have my mind set on that look.

The best guy doing a "thin Plate" conversion is Bob Millington.
"Manufacturing" the cylinder is quite a job unless you are an experienced machinist with the proper equpment. Although you could do it the way the "armoury" conversions were done by turning the back down on your existing cylinder and silver soldering on an appropriate section. Still a lot of work.

Taylor is not a conversion cylinder manufacturer they sell R&D and soon Kirst also.
