1893 Mauser Carbine question

Anyone know what you call the part that fits like a "nose cap" on the stock of an 1893 Spanish Mauser Carbine? It has "ears" that protect the front site
(and maybe a bayonet lug?). Any idea where could you get one? (LONG story!)
