S & W 1911 - I found the stock blued SLide Lock/Release
a bit difficult to operate. I liked the look of the WIlson
Combat Tactical SLide Lock/Release. I ordered one in
Stainless Steel as my SW1911 is SS. I had some
other work done and gave it to the gunsmith to fit.
I got the gun back yesterday and am very happy
with the WC T SLide L/R. It angles out and back
until even with the front of the grip and then it
parallels the frame/grip. The grips were also replaced
with Guy Hogue Ebony w/palmswell. THe upper
LH upper part of the LH grip had to be relieved for
clearance with the new WC Slide L/R.
Now, I want the Wilson COmbat Tactical Thumb Safety
which matches the Slide Lock/Release in terms of
serrations, and close to the frame.
