OK I have a couple of questions, while pawn shopping today I found a couple of rifles that interested me.

1st was a little 16 1/2 in pump Taurus 172 in .17 cal. I saw this little rifle and it really caught my eye. Picked it up and I have to say I love the way it handled, just a very handy little rifle. So my question is does any one have any expeience with these little rifles. How do they shoot, are they reliable, etc. BTW it was priced at $279.

2nd I saw a Swiss straight pull rifle, looked like a k31 but was in .308. Had a sporterized stock, rear peep sight, action was very smooth and tight, trigger felt goot, was not really a bubba-ed up gun, but not original either. Anyone know anything about these are they real conversions or did I come across someones bubba project. Do they typically shoot decent. It was priced a $149. I saw it in passing just picked it up when the boss called and I had to take off, so I didn't get any model or anything off it.

Different peep, more like a ghost ring back, it is definitely a k31 action though. I will try to go by tomorrow and take a pic, and if I don't decide to get it tomorrow I will PM you the info.

I have the Taurus M72 Carbine in 22magnum. I love it. Light, fast handling, and accurate. Price is similar to what I paid.

Went back today and it is a Sporterized 96/11. It pretty good shape, I really like it, but found a Marlin lever 44 mag that I think I like even better. I am still curious about the M72 and 172. I already have a couple of .22mags so the .22mag version really interests me too. I may go back and ask about getting on in .22mag tomorrow!
