2018 was pretty big year for me firearms-wise, for a variety of reasons both good and bad.
In December of last year, my Dad passed and my brothers and I divided his collection per his wishes. I brought my share home in January, fortunately all of my siblings and I were able to be there for him in his last days.
Inherited guns:
Marlin 1881 .45/70
Winchester 94 .32 WS
Remington 721 .270
Winchester 1890 .22 WRF
Mortimer percussion shotgun (haven't taken the forearm off to determine gauge, but probably 12 or 14) this one belonged to my great grandfather.
Jonathon Browning Mountain Rifle .50 cal
Uberti 1858 Carbine .44 cal
Uberti 1858 Navy .36 cal
Bond Arms Snake Slayer IV w/ 3 barrels
Norinco SKS (this one started out as mine, I gifted it to him several years ago)
Herter"s Single Six .357 Mag (this one went to my youngest daughter, per Dad's last request)
Raven .25 (Maternal grandmother's gun)
Also for years my wife and I struggled financially, but now things have eased up a bit. Our only debt of any size is our mortgage, and it is not that large. Also, our children are grown and are mostly self sufficient, which leaves more disposable income after bills and savings.
Purchased or bartered guns:
Ruger SR1911 Target .45 ACP
Rock Island Rock Standard 1911 9mm
Savage 64 .22 LR
Mosin 91/30
Glenfield 75 .22 LR
Glenfield 60 .22 LR
Marlin 80 .22 LR
High Standard Sport KIng .22 LR
Ruger 10/22 ,22 LR
Marlin 100s Tom MIx Special .22 S,L,LR
Savage 320 Muddy Girl 20 ga
There may be one or two more that have slipped my mind, it's been a busy year.
The Tom Mix Special and the Savage 320 were purchased as gifts, so they probably shouldn't count as I didn't have them very long.
As you can see, I like my rimfires. One can never have too many, lol. Unless you ask my wife, of course.
