can any one tell me any major difference in the 22-250 and the 204 i have shot the 22-250 a lot and really like it but the 204 looks really neet. does one have a beter trajectory then the other .

Huh

I didn't see anything too interesting or profound on page 2.

22-250 is flatter shooting. When you get down to it 204 Ruger really doesn't look all that interesting. Ruger just wanted to get their name on a rifle round.

Its a push for flatness. The lightests loads for both rounds from Hornady put the 32 gr 204 flatter the 40 gr 22-250 at 500 yards, with both starting at -1.5 at the muzzle. And if you compare both 40 gr rounds, the 22-250 starts off with a bit more energy, but the 204 retains almost twice as much at 500 yards and has a bit less drop! In fact the 40gr 204 has more energy at 500 yards than the 50 gr 22-250, and we are only talking about 4 1/2" more drop at 500, but only 2" more drop back at 400. Almost all of the performance without the kick, and you can see more impacts through the scope. The hand loader could get close to those numbers for the 204, and no doubt could get a bit better out of the 22-250, but it wouldn't be by much.

For a yote gun, the 22-250 is still probably a better choice if for nothing other than bullet selection, but for pdogs, I can't see why anyone would choose a 22-250 unless they were already tooled up to load for it.

Plus a lot of people just hate Ruger.

Here are some links. Ballistic tables are there too for all these rounds. See for yourself.

not too mention that a 204 generates bbl burn at about the same rate as a 223, just a tad more, with about 20% less powder, burn , and fouling as a 22.250.
