While I have plenty of 5.56 ammunition and the ability to load several thousand rounds I figured I would order some. This was ordered I think 12/27/12 when back orders were being taken. I suggested others do the same while people were selling the stuff as high as a buck a round. I received the following email yesterday from Cabela's.
I ordered 800 rounds (4 boxes) with free shipping for about $299. They went on to say I could cancel if I wished (I don't plan to cancel). Hey, I figured it would be here for spring shooting.
If I need any before then I have plenty ready to go.
The bottom line is that ammunition will return given some time. Considering it is a balmy 8 degrees outside this morning I don't see any outside rifle shooting in the near future. I figure on seeing the stuff in March sometime.
