TulAmmo 75 gr HP fired from 11.5" AR into calibrated 10% gelatin.

BB: 592.3 fps, 3.1"

Impact velocity:2,315 fps
Neck: 5"
TSC: 7" X 2.5"
Penetration: 14" of gelatin plus 6" of water

I don't know what I was expecting but that is more penetration than I would have guessed.

Just curious, where do you buy your gelatin or do you make your own?

A 16" barrel would almost certainly produce more fragmentation and less penetration.

what ever happened to the 200 yard penetration tests on wood with 7.62 and 5.56 mm ball ammo. Did I miss it? Or were the results so embarrassing for the mouse caliber that the mouse caliber lovers decided not to post it.

Do you have a gel test of some long range shots? I'd love to see some 300+ yard gel tests of various 5.56/.223 loads, especially with the different barrel lengths you do.

It's hard to do an actual long range shot but here is one I did with a reduced charge and short barrel to simulate approximately 450 yards.
