Can you believe he shot Curtis right in the throat? Jack is one cold so and so.

Yeah. I really didn't see that coming. In reference to the earlier comment about Jack being "up to the job," he hasn't done anything that physically demanding, and after the incident with Curtis he certainly showed that he's not as mentally or emotionally capable as he once was. Makes the show more bearable to see that the man's human.

Chuck Norris may speak a dozen languages, but Jack Bauer can "teach" any foreigner to speak English inside 10 minutes.

I TiVo it so I can skip the commercials and back up and freeze if need be.

I DVR it (cheesey cable company version of Tivo) because I have a 2 1/2 year old who likes to stay up late and probably shouldn't see Jack biting someone to death or shooting his friend in the neck. I like to reserve the psyche-scarring imagery for myself and my wife .

I tried to watch the first season and didn't really get into it. On a whim, i watched the first episode of the second season and i was hooked when Jack shoots the guy who has complete immunity and saws off his head, lol. That beign said i usually try to watch it, but if i happen to miss a few episodes i generally just give up, because frequently the show makes almost no sense to me at all after a brief abscence from viewing.

Word to the wise, if your cable company is anything like mine, they might have a special going that allows you to try out the DVR free for six months. Get it, make a series recording, and BINGO, commercial free 24 available on demand.

For the record, I think the OP was incorrect. It appears Jack is still using a USP Compact.

haha i don't know if he'll be able to survive a throat shot. But really if anyone knows how dangerous and cold bauer can be, its him... so he can't really said he didnt' see it coming.

I've never missed an episode. Was in Hawaii for the final episode last season. so a buddy of mine recorded it and i STILL saw it. So far this season does not disappoint.
