Yes, i was not thinking too clearly when i took it off the die first. That did not seem to help much so i then took it off the shell holder and it worked a lot better but still had a little hang up just before completely closing. I was afraid to take any more off the shell holder so that is when i trimmed the neck back and it work's good now. It wasn't the shoulder collapsing, or not being seated enough as i was using just the case. No powder, primer or bullet. I have some more dies and shell holder for this gun and tomorrow i am going to color some case's with a sharpie and try and get it to chamber to see if it will show where it is hitting. I'm just not satified not know exactly what the problem was.

Perhaps the chamber was set up for lighter bullets that touch the rifling when chambered.Could be anything already mentioned.

Oh yes it will. You always want your press to cam over a bit when you FL resize. Now you have a jacked up die that will increase your head space if its ever used correctly
It's the shell holder he trimmed, not the die. What he should do is mark that shell holder, and get another shell holder to use for any other rifles that need that particular shell holder.

According to him, he took metal off both the bottom of the die AND the top of the shell holder.

Dude you need to read a reloading manual. Especially the part on setting up your dies.

+1.

Really? Reread his post #18.

He said in one of his posts: And I adjust the die's down to where they touch the shell holder and then back off about an 1/8 turn.
He should be tightening it down 1/8 or so not backing it off. Backing it off 1/8 turn and I doubt hes bumping the shoulder at all much less FL sizing
