Having a issue with sizing die , .308 " to .303" after full length step one, fits head spacing gage /next when seating bullet a boat tail .308" the case neck bulges. confused on what is the problem operator error or die not right.

What cartridge are you talking about? 300 ACC? I assuming you mean 300 AAC Blackout? If so did you cases start out as 223 Rem/5.56x45 or factory 300 BO? If they are converted 223/556 you may have a neck thickness issue. Share more information on exactly what you are doing and with what. Most details the better and pictures always help the forum diagnose problems.

If the case drops into and out of a case gauge and doesn’t get messed up until after you seat a bullet, your sizing die/process is good to go and you can focus your attention down the line or at the components themselves.

This might be worth taking a look at.

Measure the wall thickness at the neck.

As MBC said, need more information, case and bullet, powder charge, any crimp or just seat?

I’d bet your bullet seating die is spun down too deep trying to put a nasty crimp on it.
You need to get a bullet seated above the boat tail. Then set the die until at full stroke it just barely crimps and then set the billet seating depth screw.

I am using 300 ACC Black Out, my spent factory casings, 1st time reloading them, just spent time again resetting crimp die readjusted the die and bullet seating , the only thing to work was to lightly lube on the boat tail bullet with spray lube "One Shot" and it fit the head spacing gage afterwards.

A sized case case gauges. Good.

forget about primer and powder for a minute and back the seating die out so it won’t crimp and seat a bullet (again zero crimp) to the OAL you picked.

Will that case gauge fine?

spent casings I checked wall thickness at .012" this is factory casings , over all case length is 1.356" to 1.360"

Thanks everyone who responded after resetting the crimp die , praying some , murphy's law went away I managed to seat some bullets without any bulges in the casing's , yes these several attempts were for my initial crimp die set up there were no primers or powder just the casings and bullets. Sometimes you got to hold your mouth just right and measure , measure some more!
