Hey everyone I came across a whole lotta of PMC 308 brass that I plan to reload someday. As I was cleaning it up I noticed it had a ring around the neck and shoulder area. This brass was fired from a Springfield Armory M-14. Can anyone tell me if it is okay to reload or do I need to throw it away? Here is a pic.

It looks to be where the die stopped resizing the neck. It looks ok to me. You may have the die set too far out. If it chambers good then shoot it.

Well, I just noticed you said "reload one day". I still think its fine. Nothing the resizing die can't handle.

Looks fine to me, looks a little like what my own M1A spits out. I would load it without a thought.

Just make sure you full length size it. Like everyone else says, they will work fine.

Looks like nothing more than carbon residue to me?
As long as there is no thinning, or signs of incipient separation any where, I would use it.

Check inside the cases with a wire 'feeler' for a stretch ring after sizing.
