Given the way things are going, I'm trying to make sure I have ammo on hand for the future, especially in useful calibers. I like .240 Ruger for pest control and maybe small game.

I have a choice between 32 and 40-grain Vmax. Both shoot well out of this gun. The 32 is considerably faster.

Thoughts? I like the idea of a bigger bullet for things like coyotes and feral dogs. On the other hand, speed is one of the caliber's big selling points.

The 32s shot great from both the 204s I've owned while the 40s shot well out of one and so-so from the other. Ultimately I ended up using the sierra 39gr BlitzKing which gave me the "ragged hole" groups I had with the 32s. It is also approx 20% heavier to boot along with a higher BC.

I like the lighter bullets- in my guns- love the speed and violent impacts- but that's just me.... Shoot what ever works best in your guns.....as far as stockpiling...get what ever you can get and afford.
