.357 Magnum carbine that is not a lever action?

For those that walk on the wild wild west side, this is available through local dealers.

My Marlin 1894c is fiddly and I get stuck cartridges now & then. I'm having a gunsmith give it a once over as I write this. To me, they just aren't reliable enough. Perhaps it's my specimen; perhaps I should try a Henry. But I wanted to know what else is out there first.

That is unfortunate. My 1894 CSBL took some tuning to make mag loading work to my standards, but the cycling has been very good with the jacketed factory loads I've used in the gun.

Does it need to be a repeater?
My old combo 357/30-30 NEF Handi rifle is a true tack driver in both calibers.
Kinda heavy with the 357 barrel, but dang, no complaints about accuracy.
I would second this opinion. I have a NEF Handi-rifle Trapper in .357 and it is a shooter for sure. I love to take this one when I am camping with my buddies. We sit around the campfire and have informal shooting matching with the looser getting a considerable amount of ribbing. Even my non-shooting friends love this gun because it is "non threatening" and looks "old timey".....If only they understood what a good marksmen could do with the rifle...

Sorry to jump off topic...

My Handi-rifle loves 158-180 grain bullets. It is a bit heavy, but consistently puts them in the bullseye. I wish I had bought a couple more of these when they were cheap.

If you mean a repeater, the Israeli made IWI pump-action Timberwolf was on my list of guns to get, but it was discontinued before I had the chance. I still keep my eyes open for one lightly used or in safe queen condition. GB is not an option for me anymore. That den of thieves can go take a flying leap.

I have the Ruger 77/357 and like it a lot. I put in a trigger shims bolt shim in it and it improved the accuracy. Mine hates lighter bullets. 140gr and up and its a decent shooter. Not a tack driver, but that's not what I bought it for. Feeds SWC fine in .38spl and 357. I don't know if I got a good one but no complaints on mine. Nice light handy carbine. Put a 1x3 weaver on it. I wish they still made that optic.
