I would take a Dan Wesson 715 over any of the guns mentioned by the OP. If you buy a 6" Dan Wesson and decide in the future that you would like a 2" snubby it would cost about $200 and take about 5 minutes to change out.

If you want to try a brake for fun at the range it will cost you $75 and about 2 minutes to put on or take off.

I have an EWK break for my 744 and it is an impressive piece of engineering and manufacturing!!!!
I would take a Dan Wesson 715 as my first choice, with a 4" 686, pre lock, of course, as my second.
My favorite is my 686 SSR.View attachment 871301
I'd look hi, low, near & far for a S&W 581.
It's an L frame that fixed the very few that cracked the forcing cone.
Also it's blue with fixed sights.
681 is stainless.
586 is blue adjustable sights.
686 is stainless adjustable sights.
With the Kim Ahrends grips and a deluxe action job by my master gunsmith,it shoots as good as it looks!! Everyone that I let shoot it has the same response, "man that's a NICE revolver"!!!!! By the way I love your avatar! Is that Mr. Harley & Mr. Davidson?I have one just like that. Sweet revolver!
