I'd been asked to do some reporting on how my little Uberti rolling block does at the range so I figured there's some interest in today's results.

Rifle: Uberti .357 magnum rolling block 22" bbl

Sights: WGRS rear, savage plastic front.

Load: 16.0g WW296, Norma case, Magtech SR 7 1/2 primer, 158g Montana Gold JHP, 1790fps

Range: OFGC Alma 100yds

Conditions: 75 degrees, partly cloudy, winds 5 to 10 blowing downrange

Results: 2x five shot groups @100yds both measuring right at 4"

Ive done better but today all I could do was muster 4" groups. The two for this rifle and two more with an 03a3. I'm thinking a finer front sight will help as my current front bead is the same size as the plate when superimposed at 100

The first group is marked by a line with the second (after making sight adjustments) is denoted by circled bullet holes.

That's pretty sweet. And considering the bead being used for the front sight, not a bad group either. Atleast in my book.

Thinking a blade up front would get much tighter, and more consistant results.

I switched the stock sights on my 1894c to Skinners, and it made a world of difference.

I'm just going to bump this thread instead of starting a new one.

I've had the best service from this little carbine over the past couple years and lately my son has taken a liking to shooting it (he likes how it loads) . Luckily I have a 1000 rounds of 38 158g handloads handy but this presents a problem. A couple years ago I had to swap out front sights to get magnum loads on paper, after zeroing for a 1750fps 357 load 38's shoot a COUPLE FEET high at even 50.

No biggie just shooting 357's was simple as a handloader. But at under 5lbs the gun so loaded kicks too much for a 7yo. So now I need to figure out how to reconfigure the sights on this gun so I can adjust for 24" of elevation at 50 wich is something the WGRS pictured can't do.

Please offer suggestions for sighting systems.
