38 derringer not firing on bottom cylinder

is there any way to adjust? the fireing pin

the top fires fine every time but the bottom fires maybe after the 6 time tried. when closed gun has no play. firing pin hardly makes a ding into the primer.

I have a Derringer just like that. Back in the day when the Derringer was caller a Deringer and use a lot the bottom cylinder had a rep for not firing. The hinge becomes loose with use and the firing pin doesn't strike the primer hard enough to fire the round. My cheap RS in .38 Special does it all the time but I didn't buy it for shooting, I bought it for looks because it looks old for Cowboy Action. I have a Cobra for shooting.

what in the world are you talking about? A derringer? Derringers don't have cylinders, they are pistols (usually multi barrel), not revolvers.

John Dillinger used machine guns.
