Hi, first off I know I should not chamber a rifle or a handgun in another cartridge then what it supposed to do.

I have a marlin 1894 chambered in 44mag, and I was buying 44mag another day using gunbot on the 44 section, it lead me to lax ammo site and brought what i thought to be 44mag, which is stupid of me for not double checking and today i got the ammo and it it chamber in 10mm.

Is the 10mm able to fire and cycle through an marlin 1894? if not, does anyone know any good sites to sell ammos.

No, 10 mm will not chamber and fire in your Marlin.

1. 10 mm is a .400 inch bore, .44 mag is a .429 inch bore.
2. 10 mm and .44 mag have different rim designs. .44 headspaces on the rim, 10mm on the neck of the cartridge.
3. They are different lengths.
4. Try armslist.com to list your ammo for sale and find a local buyer.

No, not even close. Totally different cartridge.

You could send it back, or sell it, or decide it's an excellent reason to but that 10mm pistol you always wanted. Can't run it through the marlin though.

I would sell your 10mm ammo at a gunshow. Somebody will buy it. 10mm is an interesting cartridge from a historical standpoint, but I'm glad I don't have to keep any around...

Why? I did a lot of research before buying my Glock 20 in 10mm, and have enjoyed it for almost 10 years now. 10mm ammo is widely available - much more so than .22LR ammo is.

Correct...there's the 10mm and then there's everything else!

I wish there was a lever action chambered in 10mm...I'd be all over that.
