Hmm, I guess if I don't see it anywhere closer soon I'll have to take a day trip to Lexington Park. I think I can justify the 2hr drive- school is pretty much out so I won't be working (substitute teacher) so maybe I'll head up to St. Mary's to do some fishing on Church Point and Lexington Park is on the way.:D Hey I've always liked it down there and haven't visited since I had friends at St. Mary's College and I've just been searching for an excuse to take a fishing trip down there.

Hard to find folks at the gun counter at Wal-Mart here in California. See... uh... Wal-Mart employees made a few _mistakes_ in paperwork and such and... now Wal-Mart sells no shotguns or rifles anymore. Nada.

The sign posted said that their employees were taking classes to learn the process... like they will be back - typical Public Relations bull kaka ... the "MAN" just won another one here in California, land of the fruits and nuts (and some pro-rkba types, too).

IF YOU AREN'T OUTRAGED
YOU AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION

Michigan City, Indiana's WalMart also has the new Value Packs. :)

I reload .45's....but the .40 will be nice. I was paying $8.96/50 before. A couple bucks is a couple bucks. ;)

bc:)

Chaim: If you're coming down Route 2/4, hit the Prince Frederick Walmart, they might have a few boxes and could save you 40 minutes of driving. Or, call all the stores (walmart.com has a store locator, call'em and ask for sporting goods), I always call ahead when I'm looking for a gun so that I dont end up driving all over the place to get to a store that doesnt have one in stock.

OK, I went to the Walmart in Ellicott City MD and they now have them (the one that told me that since they don't have them no one should and they won't for some time). This time I actually got someone who seemed to know the gun counter. They just got in 4 boxes (I don't know if that means yesterday or today, I know it is no earlier since I was there Wen) and I bought 2 of them today.

The bottom of one of my .45acp boxes says: 0 20892 21416 3
I hit the range today, fired about 90 rounds of the stuff, but cant really say how accurate it is at this time (my girlfriend, my brother and I are all pistol newbies and we were all over the paper with both the Winchester and my usual PMP load, which is normal for us), but it did feed, fire and extract fine in my two 1911s.

The UPC for the 9x19 Value Pack is 002089221297, the UPC for .40 S&W is 002089221365, and the UPC for .45 ACP is 002089221416. This information came from my Wal-Mart receipt.

Just bought my .40 S&W value pack from the Temple, TX Wal-Mart today. Good buy. Now we'll have to see how it shoots. They also have the .45 and 9mm ammo for anyone in this area who's interested.

Got some today (Saturday) from the Layton Wal Mart here in Utah. I took the last box of .45 ACP and I didn't see any .40.

Rick - Re: "Is Wally World a store of it's own or a nickname for Walmart?" Don't feel lonesome in asking that question. I was a little slow in responding to a newbe lady's e-mail on that a while back and she did an internet search in the meantime. And came up with a gay porn web site! :what:

In COLORADO too!

Just picked up some .40 and 9mm today from the local Walmart.

$14.97 for the .40
$10.96 for the 9mm

They also had the .45 in stock.

I"ll have to check here. Since I hate to shop I usually just send someone. Now I have gone to Sports Authority and the price was the same-or less, for the value pk of 9mm. Seems as if my local SA likes give Wally a fit by meeting their price. He actually called once in my presence and cut the price .50 less than WW;)

I'd rather just run in and out and avoid the crowd/parking.

So I'd suggest others check with their local SA and see if they'll do the same. If its closer and you hate to shop like me.

You mean they don't sell ammo? :uhoh:

ROTFL. That is a thread all in itself. What's on your receipt today?:D

Mine read similar, except no 40 cal and add burgers, charcoal, and sodas to the end. (Shooters gotta eat)

Confirmed sighting(purchase) in the Louisville, KY metro area. I got some of the 45 yesterday. They also had the usual 9mm and 40.

As a side note, this must really be digging into Remington's business. My local gun shop has UMC 100rd value packs (same starburst in the corner of the box even). Price isn't as good as the Winchester though.

Cool guys, lets keep buying it up so they'll keep packaging it this way. Maybe we should start an email campaign to get some value-packs in revolver calibers as well. :D

BTW, I looked at the rounds and they look like the "regular" Win White Box stuff in .45acp. In the 9mm value packs the rounds are packaged loose, the bullet is a slightly different shape than the regular White Box stuff and the jacket is a brass color instead of copper color. The .45acp value pack rounds are the same shape and color as the regular stuff and instead of being packaged loose like the 9mm value pack it was packed in two 50 round trays like the 50 round boxes.

Ooh, yeah. If only they made / carried value packs of .357 magnum I might change my low opinion of Wal Mart.
