45 ACP bullet preferences?

I've been firing 45 ACP Rainier 185 gr plated flat points. I'm in the process of figuring out how far back I can dial the charge and still meet power floor (the recoil is a bit snappy right now). Do you guys prefer heavy or light bullets for matches? Have you found you can get lighter recoil with 185 or 230 gr at minimum power factor loadings?

I have better results with Rainier or Berrys 230 grain. Loaded to a 170 power factor it's more of a push than a snap. Even in a polymer framed gun it feels much lighter than a 185 at power factor.

Go with the 230s. The perceived recoil will be lighter at the same power factor.
