I don't know anything about reloading, so here is my chance to ask a stupid question.
Check out the following auction. This is a guy selling 1 box of SS190 ammo. He wants $750! The price is already up to $350!!

I am amazed, of course.
Isn't one of the purposes of reloading to overcome this issue? So the market will not sell SS190/SS191/SS193 to civilians. It shouldn't be a problem. Load it yourself. Are the bullets unavailable? Make them yourself. Is this illegal? I get the impression that it is not - after all, there is a small (incredibly expensive) market for this ammo right now. If it was illegal for its AP properties, then 5.56 x 45 mm NATO would be illegal. The subsonic rounds wouldn't be illegal under any law I know. It just appears to be "RESTRICTED SALE - AGENCY DROP-SHIP ONLY per FNH-USA company policy". FN's policy is FN's policy, it isn't the law.
Can these ammo variants be reverse engineered by reloading or is the bullet design too exotic? Why isn't a smaller ammo maker attacking this market?
