I have found my Carcano's really like slow powders. Here are a couple of 4" targets shot with my Calvary Carbine off the bench at 100 yards using Hornady .268 Dia. 160 grain bullets over 37 grains of WC860 & 37 grains of IMR7383 using Winchester magnum primers.
Both loads shoot to the same point of aim as original 6.5 FMJ ammo. There are no sign of pressure at all. Bolt opens easily and all case extract just fine. Primers are flat with nice rounded edges. Cases size just fine.

The IMR 7383 also works really well in the 7.35 too.

Anyone else ever try the 50 cal powders in their rifles?

Picture is to big email me at [email protected] if you want to see it.
