511 Covert Carry Shirts

I own four of these shirts. They work very well for me whether I'm using a shoulder holster or, more commonly, OWB with my Commander-sized pistol. I like them very much. I may be mistaken, but it's possible that they are a discontinued item and that may be why they are cheaper at 5.11.

ETA: I just noticed that 5.11 now has a 2.0 version of the shirt. I guess I have four of the 1.0 shirts. I like them anyway. I do have to roll up my undershirt sleeves sometimes so they won't stick out however.

I've glanced at them in the store before, but the $45 price tag was a little off-putting. The only bad thing I here is that they are kinda hot in summer?

I live in Denver Metro and in the low humidity summers here, with an A shirt ("wife-beater") underneath, I'm comfortable enough. In a high humidity environment, I think my shirts might be too heavy, but I don't actually know. I've lived on the gulf coast, the city of Chicago, south of Boston, and north Jersey so I know about high humidity summers, but I've only owned these shirts since moving back here.

Take it from a 511 geek (I wear their pants, undershirts, belts and socks), their shirts are nice but way overpriced. I started buying the fishing style shirts from Sam's Club at $14 a pop, and they're basically the same thing......minus the $50 price tag!;)

It looks very much like the fishing shirts I buy at Academy for a lot less.

Not a 511 1700 Series, but probably worth a look.

Bo Tach Tactical has the Woolrich Elite 44450 Four Pocket Discrete Carry Shirts on closeout for $18 shipped.
I bought 5 of them. They are a Guyabera style shirt. The bottom button is false and is held closed by a magnet, so it will break away when you sweep it back. Designed to be worn untucked. I have been carrying my 310 Night Guard in a Lobo Enhanced Pancake wearing one of them this week. Plenty of shirt tail below the holster muzzle end. So far I like them. Just got them, so not sure how well they will wash and dry yet. One washing so far.

Check the Woolrich Elite Barn Jacket also. It is fairly light weight for canvas. Long enough to conceal an Uzi in a shoulder rig. Pockets everywhere. It has 14 Magazine holders in the pockets for lots of options on where you carry. Inside pockets Left and Right that will hold a J Frame in a pocket holster. Colors: Charcoal, Brown, and Moss. I got mine in Moss, and my brother one for Christmas in Brown. Can't go wrong for $30.

I may give a 511 1700 Series shirt a try if they are on a good sale after Christmas.
