642 holster for the wife

She can't always carry it in her carry purse. A paddle holster sticks out what looks like 6"... I can get away with it, but it looks like she's trying to conceal a Sherman tank. Inside the wasteband isnt sitting well with her. She's about as low maintenance as a woman can be... but we need some advice as to a slim fitting holster... leather is ok. The cheap Mikes thing seems to engulf the pistol. You need to be able to get it out and down range! Not dig through a "one size fits nothing" holster... thanks for any female carry 642 advice...
