I have been reloading 45acp and have enjoyed it :) and save some money and shoot a lot more. My wife has now gotten into shooting too and I just got her a SW M & P 9mm and looking for a good load for her. She will be just target shooting to relieve stress :banghead: as she calls it. I need a light load that works. I am going to be using Win 231 powder, Win Primer, Win Cases once fired and Lead bullets unkown if RN, SWC, or etc. Possible 115 grain. If anyone has a good light load for me please let me know. Thanks

Here you go....

Mr Gillispie -

A quick trip to the Hodgdon data center is required.

http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

Start with the 4.3gr for the 115 LRN and work up in 0.1gr increments until the slide operates correctly. You'll probably end up very happy at 4.4 or 4.5 at their recommended OAL. Be sure and follow their OAL as the powder load and bullet seating depth are more ticklish on the 9x19 Luger than probably any other cartridge.

As you probably know from your 45 experience, each gun is different, so loading 10 test rounds of each is the only way to really be sure.

That should get you going just fine.
