9mm Largo - Safe Pressure Limit Question

Hi, Gents!

Hey, I'm loading for a Star Modelo Super in good condition. It's in 9mm Largo.

First question - what's the safe "factory published" working pressure for this handgun? Loading data is spotty, and I KNOW I can't load it to 9x23 Winchester pressures, but the Steyr loading data is, I believe, way below what the Largo can do in a Star Super.

Second question - didn't they make the Modelo Super in 38 Super? Or am I imagining that?

I don't think they made a 38 Super, but the ballistics of the Largo are almost identical.

Oops....apparently they did make a 38 Super.

For 9mm Largo reloading info check the Speer manual # 13. The article preceding the loading data states mil pressures were 35,000 psi avg. Later in the article it states CCI set max. pressure at 30,000. Hope this helps
