(He's referring to a TFL thread about handling the pain of shooting when afflicted with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Don't have CTS, but I'd found that eating pomegranates eliminated the joint pain I'd been increasing experiencing as time goes by. Pineapples were touted as an alternative, which I'd been seeking since pomegranates are only in season for about 3 months a year.)Hey Blackhawk: how about them pineapples brother.
Funny you should ask! I got a fresh pineapple last week and substituted it for pomegranates.
First, it's JUST as effective as they are, so there's the substitute!
Second, pineapples have to be the best kept diet secret ever! I first tried some of it for lunch before eating the rest of the meal. It completely screwed up my taste buds so that everything else tasted repulsive. My guess is that somebody munching on fresh pineapple at the beginning of a meal would simply would be repulsed at the thought of eating anything else. There must be some magic compound in the very core or near the rind that does that because canned pineapple doesn't go near the rind and has the core completely cut out.
Guess I'll have to learn to speak Hawaiian.
Mele Kalikimaka, for those of you who care about such things!
