As I said, a lot of gun owners would rather fight than win.
The comments here confirm that winning isn't all that important to some folks. They just want to FEEL superior.
Otherwise, why would we turn away effective, important forces which can help gun rights?
Oh, because they don't agree with us on EVERYTHING.
You don't want people helping? You don't want more votes in Congress and the state legislatures? You don't want more positive stories in the media about guns? You don't want more city council men and women voting for us?
You can call 'em Libertarians or Martians, but there are a significant number of people who identify themselves as "Liberals" who support the Second Amendment. At least, they will, if we allow them to help us.
Instead, some of the folks on "our" side hold to:
"We're right. They are wrong. And we will fight them until they admit it."
And we wonder why we so often lose.
