A common gun sign at the bank?

I noticed my bank had a list of forms of ID it would accept, I was pleased to see on the list "State of TN Handgun Carry Permit". They didn't call it a CCW, but they got the name right, which was surprising.

Is this just a lone bank, or are other banks as gun-friendly?

My bank in Columbia, SC has 'South Carolina Handgun License' listed near the top of the list of acceptable forms of ID.

the majority dont post which means you can ccw in the bank.some do post but if youre gun is made all they can do is tell you to leave,,,,

Never seen it in NC. Do you guys have photos on your permits? We don't in NC.

I have pulled out my CCW as ID, I think it was at WaMu. The girl didn't react at all, just took it.

Haven't done much bank stuff since I got my permit, but the clerk at the courthouse did a double-take when I gave her my CHP for a marriage license. I needed two forms of ID... a SS card was fine but I didn't have it on me, so it was DL and CHP. She looked at it, then at me, then said she had to ask the county clerk who said ok. It's harder to obtain a CHP compared to a DL, so it really should be an acceptable form of ID almost anywhere.

My company's bank requires 2 valid, government issued photo ids to cash a check. I use my carry permit when I cash my paycheck there. Once, a teller refused to honor it and pointed to the government issued blah blah blah sign. I told her that the State of Florida is a government. One of the managers was nearby, took the permit, and said, "Yes, that's fine."

She may have been new and didn't understand what it was.
