Eh, good ergos, low recoil, accurate, super-easy to teach someone on. Nothing wrong with it -- they were "space guns" back in the 60s and 70s. Now they are the standard. Life is good!
good ergos - not as far as I'm concerned and alot of others.
space guns in the 60s & 70s - I don't remember many of us in Vietnam back in the 60's who considered them space guns.
life is good - because of AR's?? Really?
super easy to teach someone on - so are single-action .22 rifles
In a way, I think that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have helped gun rights somewhat as well. A lot of the men and women who served may have never before given any thought about firearms and firearms rights, but then lived-day-in-and-day-out with a gun by their side during their tour(s)-of-duty.
And they may have even felt a tad insulted when they came home and heard on the news or read in the paper's op-eds that "those guns" (scary black plastic guns, or even handguns) were dangerous and didn't belong in their (now) civilian hands.
Eh. I dunno. It's just a thought
Especially when the guns they operated in the service typically had a fully functional happy switch.
