I was pretty surprised yesterday. I have used a very old RCBS bench-mounted priming tool for decades. I inherited it from my grandfather in 1979 and he used it before me. I'd guess it's from either the 60s or 70s. Suffice it to say that it's not like the new ones anyone makes!

Long story short, I've simply worn it out enough that I'm unable to seat primers fully in their pockets. I called RCBS yesterday, thinking that there's no way they'd have parts available.

Not only do they have parts, but they're shipping them immediately. And they're not charging me for them... they said they'll cover it all under warranty.

That is pretty spectacular customer service for a tool that is upwards of 35 years old. Now it should work for another 30 years. :)

This was the second time they've done it with me... I also have an RCBS "Jr." press that I use just for seating bullets now... it's stamped 1969, and they sent me parts for that also. That was a year or so ago. All for free. That's great service.

What's nice is that you posted your GOOD experience. Most people take for granted what some companies do and only post bad experiences.

I sent a 5-10 scale into their repair shop that was acting funny. When I opened the returned scale, they had upgraded me to a 10-10 with a note saying that they no longer made the 5-10 and they were unable to repair it. Can't beat that with a dead cat!

I became a huge supporter of RCBS after purchasing a used progressive press that needed a few springs and odd parts. I called RCBS to get the parts and I told them that I bought the press used - they sent me all of the parts I needed for free. I was amazed. Needless to say, as I expand my die sets and purchase new tools I only buy RCBS. The quality is excellent and I know that if I manage to break the item, it will be replaced.

Couple of weeks ago I broke the decapping pin on my RCBS dies.
Called em up & they sent a whole new assembly, plus 5 pins.
And it was all on their dime too.

It's interesting to note that Dillon advertises their, "no bull" lifetime guarantee... but RCBS sure practices it too, and doesn't even advertise it!

I sent RCBS a nice note, complimenting their customer service.

I have worn out two sets of primer rods for my bench mounted Autoprime and received new sets each time. Last month I called them about getting new handles for my two Rockchucker presses, the new ones with the ball on the end like Dillon uses, expecting to purchase the handles. To my great surprise and pleasure, they sent them free. Great service.

Dillon, Ruger and RCBS constantly impress me with their willingness to go above and beyond with great customer service. RCBS has kept alive an old lubrisizer that I acquired secondhand. Among some other parts that have worn out or I have actually broken, are a couple of O-rings that as a matter of doing their job just wear out over time. Every time I try to order and pay for new ones, they send them for free. I try to pay for the stuff I get from all these guys every time. And I follow up with thank you notes. And I tell folks like y'all. And I tell every one else that will listen. And I buy more of their stuff when I need something new.
Now if I could just get HP to get on this bandwagon with ink cartridges for my printer...

I've had the same experience with RCBS. A few years ago I sent in an OLD RCBS Lubrisizer that just wasn't working right. I figured I had nothing to lose. I heard NOTHING from RCBS until a package arraived at my door with a NEW Lubrisizer in it...no charge!
Later, after having broken the lid to my uniflow powder measure I called them to order one. The young lady asked for my address and sent me TWO at no charge! Same thing with decapping pins.
Experiences like this make me shake my head and wonder why people bother with el-cheapo equipment like Lee.

Makes me glad I went with RCBS. I have a Rock Chucker w/ a Piggyback II on it, and a new Pro2000 auto indexing press. I haven't got my reloading room built yet nor do I have my bench made. All in good time. Beginning the hardwood laminate floor today. After that will build the bench. etc. etc.
