This is gonna be a very broad question so please forgive me in advance. Let's say, hypothetically, there was a new Brady Bill, what would that mean to people who already owned assault-type weapons? Would it be likely that we would have to turn them in to authorities? Would it be likely that we would have to have them modified? Or would it be likely that our weapons would be grandfathered in?

Curious to hear your thoughts.

The Brady Bill is what essentially gave us the NICS background check that takes place when you buy a gun from a FFL. It has nothing to do with an assault weapons ban.

But on the AWB side, it's pretty stupid to speculate about the specifics of a piece of legislation that hasn't even been written yet. Whatever we do say would have no basis in actual legislation. I will say however, that confiscation is very unlikely. Apart from the "cold dead hands" crowd, a national confiscation program would be an absolutely massive undertaking that would be incredibly difficult to control, logistically speaking.
