A good day today. A guy posted a number guns for sale last night that included a S&W Model 13-2 $500 and a 37-2 $400, both below market for my area. He agreed to $850 for both. The meet went good and then he pulled out a Model 36 no dash RB 2” barrel with “I didn’t list this in my add, but thought you might be interest…. $250.” You betcha!

All three in good (90%+) condition except for the grips. The 36 finish and mechanics are great, but the grips (Serial numbered to the gun) look like they were used as a hockey puck.

The 13-2 is also in great condition, but with those darn rubber things.

All in all, a happy closing to the year.

Edit: Almost forgot. If anyone has a set of K frame round butt Magnas, I’m in the market.

Very nice score indeed! Three of my very favorite S&W revolvers. The Model 36 add on to the deal was definitely icing on the cake.

Boo!!! Hiss!!! i-m-jealous.gif

Ok, now I got that outta my system, congrats, that' purty near the deal of the year.

Well done.

rswartsell; Thanks, but I doubt that they are salvageable. The right grip has the checkering almost completely worn smooth with 2 deep scratches and the left one has the checkering worn about 50% and a good size chip out of bottom. I just befuddles me how the gun can be in such good condition when the grips so beat up.

I'll gladly trade period correct grips for the 13-2 in exchange for the gun itself?

;)

Well done on an incredible trifecta...
