AIM Surplus:The bad news

Well, I just got back from AIM. South African 7.62 is gone. Radway Green is gone. GP11, same thing. I know there are other sources for Radway and GP11, but I sure liked driving up there and picking it up. Since AIM was the source for all the SA, prices will probably skyrocket. Oh well, glad I stocked up while the getting was good. They did tell me they might be getting some more GP11 in next month.

the Brown Van just dropped off my care package of the nifty brown battle packs, along with an extra sleeve of GP-11...glad I got while the gettin' was good...


it WILL be interesting to see what the prices will be at the gunshow at the George R. Brown on the 11th...

Yeah...I got me a turret press to facilitate making the 7.62 easier to reload...already have about 2500 pcs of brass...just now have the daunting task of processing the crap before it becomes ready...looking hard at an RCBS X-die....

NY32182, wideners.com and jgsales.com still have Radway. Dansammo still has GP11 for anyone that is interested.

Damnit, I've only got around 2400 rounds of SA on me right now. So SA is completely out? No more shipments?

Any chance that another source will open up?

Deer Hunter, there are other places to get SA .308 ... just nowhere as cheap as AIM.

I got a decent amount of SA .308 before it dried up ... still, I am sad to see it go.

Ugh...I just ordered 2 battle packs (bringing me up to maybe 2K of SA to go with 3K of Port) from them along with a bunch of other stuff...should be delivered today. Now I wish I had ordered all SA and waited on the other stuff.

I just snatched up the last 3 South African battle packs from Outdoor Marksman and the last 5 60rd packs of 7.5 Swiss from Midway. I hope i'll have enough ammo for a while....

I've got 8260 rounds of the stuff here at the house for my M1A. I think I'm good to go for a while . I do need to look into reloading 7.62 though.

Hmmm...I just ordered 2 sleeves of GP11 from AIM yesterday (on the phone). They didn't mention anything about it being out-of-stock/backordered -- so I'm hoping my small order got in under the wire...

The bad news is I saved up my $500 bucks to buy their Stag Arms upper and when I was halfway done ordering, there is a little box that says "Clicking here certifies that you are 21 years of age or older."

I am only 20, so they dont want my busniess. When I am 21, I will give my busniess to those who did not arbitrarily decide I was too young before.

Now I can never ever buy anything from them. Great.
