Air Canada has recently instituted a $65 surcharge for handling firearms on each of their flights so effectively the charge is $130 if you book a return flight.
This action is aimed squarely at the firearms community in Canada and comes at a time when our government is working on dismantling the long gun registry - we finally elected a Conservative government and one that is pro-gun.
Many of you have supported our efforts to fight the effects of Bill C - 68 and the anti gun movement in Canada.
If you are intending to fly I would ask you to boycott Air Canada until this surcharge is recinded.
West Jet up here supports the gun owners in Canada and has not instituted such a levy and provides an alternative option when flying in Canada.
