AK disassembly Question

I'm wanting to switch forearms.

Currently on is a TAPCO Galil forearm on.
I have no idea how to get this sucker off without tearing anything up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no experience with the Galil, but the tutorial below tells how to remove the furniture from a "traditional" AK. It may or may not help with what you want to do.

Lift up the little lever on the right side of the front handguard retainer (after removing the gas tube and upper handguard). That will unlock the retainer, which can then slide forward and allow the handguard to drop out.

don't forget this step:

First remove the magazine and open the action to ensure that the rifle is not loaded. Fieldstrip the rifle and remove the top cover, carrier spring assembly, carrier, and bolt (see FieldStripping Tutorial.)

which is above the actual instructions.

Tapco Galil forearm != Galil rifle.

Yeah, the "Galil" foregrip should install and remove exactly like the standard AK grip.
