I'm getting insurance on my new home, and Allstate has some great rates. But I found that they fund the Allstate Foundation, which a little research shows to be not particularly 2nd A friendly. So, what has anyone else heard?
Yeah, Allstate is not 2A friendly from what I understand. Neither is State Farm.
I believe USAA is ok by it, and so is the Hartford since they underwrite specific policies which include firearms or gun-related incidents. I think Safeco is sorta neutral on the issue.
Please give some facts and/or links-I have several Allstate policies that I will explore cancelling if that indeed is the case. Can anyone suggest reputable companies that write reasonable auto/homeowners/renters policies AND are 2A friendly or at least neutral?
Actually, our house insurance went up drastically last year with Allstate. We called to ask why and basically they said they were gradually getting out of the house insurance business. We went with State Farm for about $1,000 less/year.
