I like to use the UPS my choice program, that let's me choose when the package is delivered and I sometimes pick weekends so I can be home. If not, I usually schedule a late in the day delivery so I'm home in time from work.
Just trying to vent in a peaceful manner. Ordered a 250 case shotshells that was delivered today. Get home, nothing. Checked all around, delivery confirmation shows delivered. I sent the vendor an email to see what can be done.
Having someone at the house all day isn't possible, and I've never had a problem the years that I have lived here. I just hate the feeling of having something stolen from me on my own property. I guess I will have to have it dropped at a hub and pick up from now on. What a pain.
Don't discount the prospect the driver stole it. Back when I used to collect watches, the only safe way to send was USPS registered mail because of pilferage by UPS and FedEx. When my daughter was in college, I sent her a large package with a coat and some food stuff. When it arrived it had been opened and taped up again. The coat was gone along with half the other stuff. I filed a claim and they paid.
I've had more packages delivered to the wrong house in the last couple of years than I can even remember. I've managed to finally get all but I think one of them. It's getting to be a very big problem around here.Don't count out the shipper dropping it at the wrong house or maybe not delivering it at all. It has happened to me several times.
OP, I have had that happen to me before. The delivery confirmation showed it was delivered and everything too. In the end, my packaged showed up the next day. The delivery driver confirmed the package, but did not actually deliver it until the following day...Just trying to vent in a peaceful manner. Ordered a 250 case shotshells that was delivered today. Unless they drop it while on their route. Where there's a will, there's a way.IME that is extremely difficult to do with much of anything these days (driver stealing). I suppose a watch might be one of easier things to get away with, if you only take one, you wear it out, and nobody knows any different...but around here the UPS drivers go through TSA-like security in and out of the facility to begin and end their shift...same as the other employees. Only they are also looking for stolen items in pockets, socks, waistbands, etc.
