Another mainstream article about ammunition shortage

Ok they had a decent selection of .308 Winchester, bonded and non bonded hunting ammunition. About $28 for deer ammunition (Winchester power points), $47 for elk ammunition (nosler trophy grade with accubonds).

They also had a decent selection of ,45 and 9mm ammo. Around $26 for 50 rounds of .45. I didn’t see any .22LR.

So I’m seeing a bit more selection with lower prices.

I stopped by Walmart too. They were pretty cleaned out of ammo, almost nothing available.

I'm getting notifications for primers multiple times a day now instead of once a month, and often they last hours, even overnight, instead of just a few minutes.

I even feel ok reloading again.

So I hope that's a good sign.

A 1,000 - rds. case of 7.62x39 just arrived on our front porch, from "AKstuff". At an attractive total price.

o_O What......."shortage"? A previous case arrived from "CLT Ammo" weeks ago- also at a very good price.
Their prices, if bought by the case, are Far below what Academy had about a month ago.

Why must retail stores be used..... :scrutiny: .... other than to notice overall trends in the cooling of public anxiety etc.?

Academy where I live has plenty of .223, .556, 7.62x39, 7.62x51, 45ACP on the shelves and has now for a while.

Ammo is coming back & fast but many are trying to make mega profit off of the new influx of fresh ammo. I saw at one shop with a full shelf of ammo 9mm selling for $.35 cents per & another shop less than a mile away selling for $.85 cents per. The high priced shop had .300 Blk for $63.95 per box of 20. LOL
The high priced shop keeps only a little ammo out so it looks like that's all there is & it's hard to come by.
