The guy gives the crooks his car, and they kill him because they can't drive a stick shift. While each incident you read about is it's own story, I believe that this is just another example of why yuou should never capitulate with thieves. If they ever come after me, they'll have to take me kicking and screaming...

Carjackers can't drive stick, kill driver in Orlando

January 29, 2008

Orlando - An attempted carjacking turned deadly late Sunday night when car thieves shot the owner as he unloaded groceries.

Kendel Williams, 38, later died at Orlando Regional Medical Center, according to police.

Williams had just arrived at his west Orlando home at about 11 p.m. when two men came up to him and demanded the car, said Lt. Jim Marchione.

Neither of the men knew how to drive the car because it had a stick shift and instead shot the man, Marchione said.

Police said the suspects are two men in their late teens or early 20s.

I love this town! The thugs here mean well, they just want to steal a car- nothing fancy. But gosh darn it they can't drive a stick- we just simple folks down here in O-Town.

:fire:

I've heard they do things a little different in Dixie County. I have friends there. Not much crime to speak of.

man, that happened right in the middle of the hood... i wouldnt even drive through that area in daylight, let alone be in a parking lot at dark without a gatlin gun, or maybe a tank

Another perfect example of what the anti-gun morons always refer to as a "one in a million chance anything will ever happen to you."

You just never know what is coming you way, so it is always best to be prepared and be alert.

On a side note, nice society and world we live in. Anybody want to take a guess how many priors these 2 have?

knowing the orange county judicial system, id say upwards of 20 priors each...

i remember a while back a guy fleeing from the police got shot... the newspaper went on and on about how it wasnt the suspect that they cops thought he was... and how he had 5 kids that were without a dad... oh, guy had something like 83 arrests in orange county at the age of 26

Wow...that's just plain awful :(

Thanks for posting, though, a good reminder for all of us...you never know when or where.

Be safe,

Animals, not people did this. I live in the hood, and don't know enough of this story to say the deceased did nothing wrong, but I can say that at 11pm in the hood you better be ready and aware of everything thats around you. There is absolutely no good reason on this earth that a stranger should approach you in the dark, in the hood. If they do something is up and you better get ready. And if you ever get jumped you better be fighting for keeps. Break their loop and be relentless.
