I'm planning to buy a few hundred rounds of 9mm JHP ammo just to keep around. I figure since I have to go out of my way anyhow, and since my gun doesn't seem to have a preference, why not try to get something with sealant on the primer and case mouth.

Do any of the more well known defense loads come with sealant?

If not, I think I'll probably just go with WWB JHP's.

Guys,
I'm talking domestic production ammo.
I've used S&B before and probably would buy more but the only thing of theirs I can find now is the steel cased stuff.

I'm not at all interested in Wolf.

I figure that if I can't find something that is actually a real "step" above the $16 WWB JHP or the $23 Remington 100 round JHP value pack, why pay more than that?
I'd also like to have it sealed for long term storage.

I know ammo would have to be saturated for a long time to actually let the internals get damp.
But I'd feel better knowing that there's something there to give me just a little more insurance.

Does Hornady still put sealant on theirs primers?

I've used HP ammo (standard or premium) from Federal, Winchester, Remington and Speer and do not recall seeing any of those with primer sealant. This is more of a European thing, I think.

If you want to seal primers for long term storage or something, a little bottle of George and Roy's should go a long way.
