How about this course of fire? If I can post the picture, I will...
Fly Fishing for Trout
You are on a trout fly-fishing camping trip in the mountains. You have just returned from a great evening of fishing during a Mayfly Hatch. Your luck landed you the makings for a great evening meal. You have your campfire going and now you need to clean your trout. You placed your meal by the fire, but realized that you left your filet knife in your rig. You return from the rig with your knife and kneel down by the fire, placing your firearm on the ground next to you. You start to prepare the fish, but hear a rustling in the woods and a several low growls. (At the tone) You look up to see some of nature’s uninvited guests looking for a free meal. Remove the threat without loosing your meal….
Firearm loaded to max. Minimum round count is 13 rounds, Vickers count. Wolves require 2 shots each; Targets are painted camouflage with black/gray paint, IDPA Target turned on its side. Bear requires 4 shots (Big Bear-2 IDPA targets side by side with zeros touching). Popper, shoot till it drops. All wolves must be shot in tactical priority. Popper is shot after engagement of the wolves. Popper will release the bear. Trees will not allow bullets to pass (targets are marked with no shoot area) Campfire is considered cover for reloads. Concealment not required.
All shooting will be done from a kneeling or sitting (problem knees, over turned 5 gallon bucket) position. Gun to be placed on the ground or box. Reloads from body. Low light, campfire will have lights facing down range. To make revolver friendly, line up popper with head of the last wolf, Revolver then can shoot with one reload, 12 rounds.
This one made the IDPA journal a few years ago... It has been a favorite of our Club.
