Oops,

Should have probably posted here first and not in the rifle forum, but I've got a Lyman Super Targetspot 25x and it has fine focus out to over 100yds, but at 200 things start to get pretty blurry.

Is there any way to adjust the objective so it focuses on "infinity" or are these just meant to be on 22 LRs and kept to 100 yds. or less.

I'm normally pretty resourceful when it comes to searching information, but I can't find any info on this problem, so I gotta be a newbie and ask! My uncle sent me a book on 8x scopes on springfield snipers and I would think they wouldn't be limited to shots under 200 yds.

Maybe I'm going blind, or maybe I need to adjust the ocular? Everything is clear at the 25, 50, and 100 yd. ranges but the objective doesn't seem to focus at the 200 yd+ settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... I'm stumped.

Thanks,
Mark.

or maybe I need to adjust the ocular?

That would be my guess.
Somebody probably whacked it out for their eyes long ago.

Set the Objective on infinity.

Look through the scope at clear blue sky briefly.

Keep adjusting the rear lens until the cross-hairs appear sharp when you glance through the scope at the sky.

DO NOT stare through it while trying to adjust it.
Your eye focus will try to compensate for the out-of-focus scope faster then you can screw the lens in & out.

Thanks RC,

I'm going to check it out tomorrow when it's bright out. I'm guessing "infinity" on this scope is the point on the objective where it says "200 YDS or Over."
Hopefully it works out...
