Just picked this up at my LGS. It's not the Model 17 that I keep looking for, but with the $100 price tag, I couldn't pass it up. Everything seems to be nice and tight, no play in the cylinder. Does anyone know anything about this model?

H&R made decent stuff at times, but their hands and ratchets always seemed a bit soft, and tend to go out of time relatively quickly. Still, for $100, it was a no-brainer. Should be accurate once you find a load it likes.

The LGS where I bought it has Aguila, and there us a Dunhams not far away that also carrie's it. I will give them a try, I have never shot the Aguila.

I have had good results from Aguila SV across the spectrum of my .22 collection. Above average reliability and accuracy seems to be just a hair below CCI SV in most tubes. Its good for the price.

Im not quite as happy with their HV HP stuff. Ive had more duds and its more minute-of-possum than minute-of-squirrel, but its ok if that's all thats available.

There is a main spring rod with a plastic head on many H&R revolvers that breaks all the time. Research if your model has this part and buy an all steel replacement made by JackfirstInc.com.

I owned the cheaper version and it was okay. The trigger wasn't fantastic, but it went bang.

The OP got the super fancy version with adjustable sights and everything.
