Anybody used these Target Knobs?

They are ok for small adjustments but they would not stay aligned for large changes as going from 600 to 1000 yards on my first Long Range rifle.

Impressive. I'd never seen those before...now I have to look into them. Hm.

And here I thought a "target knob" was the moron who goes out to adjust their target while the range is still hot, necessitating a frantic "cease fire, cease fire!!" from the RO. :D

We had someone try to use them on a VXIII at a Sporting Rifle Match (long-range precision, 100-700 yards, small targets, field) last year. He did not have much success and my impression was that there was some sort of issue dialing the right amount, or dialing back to "zero."

You can have Leupold knobs installed by the company on any VX-I and up scope for right around $100. See their website for details.

thanks guys once again, lots of good info, and it seems that they would be great for a hunting rifle, or a 100-300yd rifle but i was plainning on using them on a 800yd +/- gun, and i wanted quick, and precise adjustments.
i origianlly thought they would be ideal, instead of buying a real expensive scope with the target turrets i could get a leupold rifleman scope say 12power or so and put those on there, but i see this is one of those situaitions where it isn't smart to skim on the optics! thanks again guys!
